Early Times Report JAMMU, July 21: In a significant push towards strengthening civic infrastructure in Jammu West, Senior BJP leader and MLA Jammu West Shri Arvind Gupta today inaugurated the much-awaited sewerage pipeline project worth Rs 21 crore at Hazuri Bagh, Ward No. 41. The project, pending for several years, is expected to resolve long-standing issues related to drainage and sanitation in the area, providing much-needed relief to the residents. The inauguration ceremony witnessed enthusiastic participation from the local community. MLA Arvind Gupta was accompanied by BJP Jammu West Mandal President Anil Angral, former Corporators Chaman Lal Bhagat and Neelam Nargotra, and senior officials from the Public Works Department (PWD), Panchayati Raj, and Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC). Prominent BJP leaders including Sanjay Baru, Jatin Sethi, Keshav Chopra, K.L. Sharma, Rajeev Pandita, Bubesh Sharma, Rahul Nargotra, Arun Dubey, Nittu Ji, and Savita Manhas also graced the occasion. Addressing the gathering, Shri Arvind Gupta said the Rs 21 crore project is a testament to the Central Government's commitment to upgrading urban infrastructure and ensuring a better quality of life for the people of Jammu West. He said the new sewerage network will cover a major part of Ward No. 41, benefitting thousands of residents who had been grappling with poor sanitation and outdated drainage systems for years.
