DIG U-R Range chaired high level security review meeting for Shri Budda Amarnath Ji Yatra

JAMMU, July 21: Today a high-level coordination and security review meeting was held by Ms Sarah Rizvi IPS Deputy Inspector General of Police, Udhampur-Reasi Range, at the Dak Bangalow Sunderbani, for the upcoming Shri Budda Amarnath ji Yatra.
The meeting was attended by DIG- JKS Range Shiv Kumar IPS, SSP Rajouri, Gaurav Sikarvar IPS, SSP Jammu, Joginder Singh SSP Reasi Paramvir Singh, CO CRPF 72 Bn Jatinder, AdSP Reasi, AdSP Nowshera, AdSP CID CI Rajouri, Representative from 54 RR, 4 Dogra, 10 Div., 25 Div. SDPO Nowshera, SDPO Akhnoor, SDPO Domana, DYSP PC Pouni, DYSP Traffic, DYSP PC Mogla, Co CRPF 72 Bn, SHO Sunderbani and SHO Pouni.
At the outset of the meeting SSP Rajouri, Jammu and Reasi briefed about the Deployment and security scenerio of their Area of Responsibility.
DIG UR Range mainly focused on ensuring foolproof security measures for upcoming yatra , seamless traffic management, medical preparedness, sanitation, and basic facilities for the Yatries (pilgrims).
The Officer emphasized inter-agency coordination, real-time communication, and round-the-clock monitoring of the yatra route. She directed all concerned officers to remain on high alert during the yatra period and ensure that standard operating procedures are strictly followed.
"Budda Amarnath Yatra is not just a religious event but also a symbol of communal harmony. It is the joint responsibility of all the agencies to ensure that the yatra is conducted smoothly, peacefully, and safely," said the DIG.
DIG added that;
Movement of Yatris shall be in convoy only with proper escort.
Stray vehicles shall be escorted in mini convoys.
No yatra vehicle shall move without escort.
Deployment of adequate security personnel along the entire route and at vulnerable points.
Installation of CCTV cameras and checking points for surveillance.
Establishment of control rooms for continuous monitoring.
Traffic management plans and parking facilities for yatris and local commuters.
The Officer appreciated the efforts of all stakeholders and called for constant review and real-time coordination throughout the yatra period. She assured the public and yatris of all possible support and appealed for their cooperation in making the yatra a grand success.
