| DG infantry visits Poonch Brigade | | |
POONCH SEPT-23-
Director General Infantry, Indian Army Lt Gen Devraj Singh made an official visit to one of the most important Brigade of the Indian Army here today.
During his 2-day visit to the Brigade he was introduced to the senior officers of the station. Accompanied by the Brigade Commander, DG visited various far flung places in the Brigade area of responsibility and interacted with the troops.
The visiting DG complimented the troops guarding the fence in the difficult line of control and expressed his satisfaction over the good work done by the Army under Operation Sadbhavana.
Lt Gen Singh also visited the Model village Khari Karmama presently under construction at a cost of Rs.120 crores .
While laying the wreath at the Poonch Memorial,Naman Sithal, he lauded the sacrifices of the martyrs in three wars fought in 1947,1965 and 1971.He also visited the Chakan-de-Bagh, Rahe-Milan crossing to PoK and was pleased with the infrastructure created by the Army. |
