| Tributes paid to shamim | | | Early Times Report Jammu, May 1- Various aspects of the life of veteran Parliamentarian journalist and writer late Shamim Ahmed Shamim were discussed at a function here today organized by Rasa Javedani Memorial Literary Society on his death anniversary. A galaxy of admires of Shamim Ahmed Shamim scholars and intellectuals attend the function. The function was presided over by Prof. Shohab Inayat Malik President RJML Society while noted Kashmiri and Urdu poet Bashir Bhadarwahi was the chief guest on the occasion. Aseer Kishtwari spoke at length on the contribution of Shamim Ahmed Shamim. He said that Shamim was best orator in Indian Parliament. He was a lovable and sensitive person who contributed a lot to Urdu language through his Urdu newspaper “AIENA” While speaking on the occasion Ayaz Rasool Nazki said that Shamim established a standard of journalism. Bashir Bhadarwahi said that “AIENA” due to the writings of Shamim had become a reflection of the Kashmir socio politico and religious life and Shamim’s personal interaction with his reader made it a big success. Prof Shohab Malik in his address described Shamim a Parliamentarian par excellence. Whenever people remember the name of best orators in Indian Parliament it is Atal Bihari Vajpayee in Hindi, Pilo Modi in English and Shamim Ahmed Shamim in Urdu He also lauded the efforts of Qurat-ul.ain the sister of Shamim for preserving his writings. Ravi Thakur, Imran Tak, Shahid Rasool , Mumtaz Kousar and Pyare Hatash also paid rich tribute to late Shamim.
