| Showkat Geelani joins PDP | | | early Times Report
Uri, May 1- Senior Awami National Conference leader Syed Showkat Geelani, who contested the 2008 general Assembly elections from Uri constituency of north Kashmir on ANC ticket, joined Peoples Democratic Party at a function organized at District Office Baramulla today in presence of senior PDP leaders Mohammed Dilawar Mir, Syed Altaf Bukhari, Syed Basharat Bukhari and Dr Shabir Mangral.
While welcoming his joining PDP leaders expressed their hope that it will add wings to the party at gross root level.
Speaking on the occasion Geelani said that he was impressed by the programs and performance of the PDP and its visionary leadership and was joining the party by conviction to strengthen the party at gross root level in the area.
