Samba, July 24: Continuing its drive against drug smugglers/suppliers, Samba Police has arrested one drug peddler alongwith 10 grams heroin (chitta) like substance, cash of rupees 1.04 lacs and one weighing machine from his possession in the jurisdiction of Police Station Vijaypur.
A Police party of Police Station Vijaypur during naka checking at Sangwal Vijaypur, intercepted a pedestrian who was moving under suspicious circumstances. During frisking, 10 grams approximately heroin like substance alongwith cash of rupees 1,04,000.00 and one weighing machine were recovered from the possession of the said person.
The drug peddler identified as Mukesh Kumar S/o Nek Ram R/o village Ranjari Vijaypur has been arrested and contraband item has also been seized.
A case FIR No. 75/2025 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Vijaypur and investigation started.
