Vishva Kashmiri Samaj holds meeting

JAMMU, July 24: Today meeting of prominent Kashmiri Pandits under the chairmanship of M.K YOGI Gen. Sect. of Vishva Kashmiri Samaj, the affairs relating to vicharnag religious temple were discussed in detail. The laying of foundation stone for the development of vnew Vicharnag premises were started by chief secretary Atal Dulloo was appreciated. Vicharnag temple is a traditional KP pilgrimage centre,where KPs in thousands would come on the eve of Chaitra Navratra (Chaitra Amawasya) Pay obeisance to the duty.
Unfortunately,over the past 35 years ,there has been encouroachment, lack of proper maintenance and protection of the temple premises. While the government maintenance of reconstruction the temple with a reasonable grant of 5 crore rupees,is greatly appreciated, the members felt it desirable that some prominent Kashmiri Community Kuldeep Khoda, Dr. Ashok Bhan, Swami Kumar Prof Ashok Aima prof A N Sadhu Raj Nehru Sushil Wattal Ashwani Kumar Anil Bhat the like should have been invited to starting of work by chief secretary. It would have been graceful and prestigious for the community. May be for some reason, It did not happen, the members felt that these and similar other the community members be actively involved in management of temple during and after its completion
THE MEMBERS ALSO DEMANDED THAT:
The encroachers should be evicted immediately.
Permanent security personnel be deployed on the site.
Assured arrangements of ensuring safe pilgrimage of devotees on the auspicious occasions.
Bringing the temple on tourist map Jammu and Kashmir UT
The passing of Hindu temples and shrines bill should be taken up without further delay.
