JAMMU SEPT-23- On the eve of first Navratra, as Chhari Yatra to Mata Vaishnodevi was taken here today by the Shiv Sena Jammu and Kashmir. The Charri yatra being solemnized as‘Sucha Hindustani Banau Divas’. The yatra started from MAM Stadium and was joined by the devotees in thousands from various parts of Jammu region including Kathua, Samba, Vijaypur, R S Pura, Marh, Bhalwal, Poonch, Rajouri and Doda districts.
The Yatra led by Ashok Gupta General Secretary of Shiv Sena , Muni Ji Maharaj, of All India Jain Samaj, Harjit Singh Vice President All India Gurdwara Prabandak Committee, former Chief Minister Dr Farooq Abdullah, Ashok Khajura and several PCC leaders.
The Charri yatra along with the ‘Jyot’ passed through the main bazaars and chowks of the city of temples amidst chanting of slogans ‘Suchha Hindustani Banau Divas’ and ‘Jai Mata Di’. Later the yatra proceeded for Katra for holy darshan at the Vaishnodevi cave.
According to a handout, the leaders sand participants in the yatra unanimously passed a
Resolution to fight against the militancy, defeat the malifide intentions of anti-national elements to create disharmony and defeat the ISI policies to spread unrest and communal tension in the state, strive for the safe return of Kashmiri migrants with creation of a separate Zone in Kashmir Valley and to fight for equitable development of all the three regions of the state. Similar yatra was also taken out by Shiv Sena (Thakery wing) led by Anan Sharma. Mayor, Jammu Manmohan Chowdary also participated. |
