| JK Bank ties- up with Tata BP Solar India Ltd. | | | Early Times Report Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir Bank Friday entered into a tie-up with Tata BP Solar India Ltd for financing of Solar Home Lighting System (SHLS) manufactured by the Company. “The Bank has decided to offer people of J&K the hassle free finances for Solar Home Lighting System (SHLS) considered as one of the most viable and sustainable alternate solutions to overcome the shortage of electricity prevalent in our state,” M Amin, Vice–president, Strategy and Business Development (S&BD) said during a function organized to sing the agreement. Reports reaching said that the loan for these lighting systems manufactured by Tata-Bp Solar India Ltd, a Joint Venture between Tata Power Company and BP Solar one of the largest Solar Companies in the world, shall be offered at competitive interest rates with a five year repaying option. Tata BP Solar India was represented by its DGM and Northern Head Amit Kumar. Solar Home Lighting System (SHLS), according to the experts, can, to a large extent, address the issue of power shortage currently faced by the people of the state. Moreover, the manufacturing Company has complete infrastructure in place to ensure proper installation, operation, maintenance and services of the SHLS through Green Technologies and Solutions, its sole distributor/channel partner of the Company in J and K.
