| Kidnapping bid foiled | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, May 1: Jammu Police foiled kidnapping bid and arrested four kidnappers besides recovered a gun and a car used for kidnapping. The reason behind the incident is stated to be money transaction.
“Four kidnappers kidnapped a youth in a gun point but was chased by police and arrested” SSP Jammu Manohar Singh informed. One Amit Goel son of Romesh Chander Goel resident of H.No. 14 Link Road Jammu informed Police Post Talab Tillo that one Dheeraj Jamwal son of Rashpal Singh Jamwal resident of Birpur Sadyal who is his friend, has been kidnapped by some persons at today on gun point and taken towards unknown place in a Santro Car bearing registration number DL3CAQ-6260. On receipt of the information Police from police post Talab Tillo immediately swung into action, followed the route adopted by the kidnappers and ultimately succeeded in chasing and intercepting the Car and the persons boarding the Car alongwith the victim at Chinore falling under the jurisdiction of Police Station Domana. The kidnappers are identified as Sohan Lal Chib alias Sonu son of late Sarwan Singh Chib resident of Mohalla Masjid, Paloura, Sanjeev Rattan alias Kalu son of Chaman Lal Rattan resident of Jawahar Nagar, New Plot Jammu, Havan Kumar son of Late Ram Lal resident of Mohalla Khalki Band Paloura a Constable in Armed Police in 5th Battalion and Madan Lal alias Maddi son of Bali Ram resident of Bahu fort Gurdwara.They were taken into custody and from their possession one single barrel gun alongwith a live cartridge were recovered. Meanwhile case FIR No. 66/09 U/s 341/342/365/RPC, 3/25 A. Act has been registered at police station Nowabad on report from PP Talab Tillo. During their interrogation they told police that Dheeraj had taken three lakhs and thirty five thousand from them on lend but only one lakh he returned.They also told that he was refusing to pay back the rest of the amount.Police is investigating the matter,till last reports came in.
