Jammu, July 27: The Executive Body of Sahkar Bharti, Jammu & Kashmir, convened at Keshav Bhawan, Amphalla, to welcome the launch of the National Cooperative Policy 2025 by PM Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah. Chaired by J&K President Sh. Sunil Sharma, the meeting emphasized the policy’s goal to establish 2 lakh new multipurpose PACS, Dairy, and Fishery Cooperatives, benefiting entrepreneurs and rural communities. Sunil Sharma highlighted the six pillars of the policy: strengthening foundations, promoting vibrancy, preparing for the future, expanding into new sectors, enhancing inclusivity, and empowering women and youth. He directed members to strengthen Sahkar Bharti’s district and tehsil-level activities to promote the “Sahkar Se Samridhi” slogan. Tributes were also paid to soldiers on Kargil Vijay Diwas. Prominent attendees included Darshan Choudhary, Bikram Singh, Dr. Nidhi Pathania, and others. The Udhampur unit of Sahkar Bharti also expressed full support, with leaders like Sanjay Magotra and Sanjeev Sharma lauding the government’s vision to modernize and empower rural cooperative societies, calling it a historic step for grassroots development.
