Jammu, July 27: To commemorate the valour and sacrifice of Indian soldiers during the Kargil War, the NCC Girls Wing of Government Gandhi Memorial (GGM) Science College, Jammu, organized a Poster Making Activity on the occasion of Kargil Vijay Diwas. The event was held under the overall guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Romesh Kumar Gupta, Principal of the college, and was effectively supervised by Dr. Shafia Saleem, ANO, NCC Girls Wing. The activity was aimed to instill patriotism among cadets and educate them about the historical significance of Kargil Vijay Diwas. Through powerful visuals and creative expressions, the cadets paid tribute to the bravery, dedication, and supreme sacrifices of the Indian Armed Forces. In his message, Prof. (Dr.) Romesh Kumar Gupta, Principal, appreciated the efforts of the NCC cadets and emphasized the importance of remembering national heroes. Dr. Gupta further added that, Kargil Vijay Diwas is a reminder of our armed forces' extraordinary courage and determination. Such initiatives not only honour their sacrifice but also help instil a deep sense of nationalism and pride among the younger generation. Dr. Shafia Saleem, in her remarks, expressed pride in the cadets for their participation and creativity. She added that, it is heartening to see our cadets express their emotions and respect for the nation through art. The poster-making activity served as a platform for them to connect with history and honour the legacy of our brave soldiers. The event concluded with a collective pledge by cadets to uphold the spirit of patriotism and contribute positively towards nation-building.
