JAMMU, July 27: In a commendable display of swift action and teamwork, the Jammu Police successfully traced a missing person and reunited him with his family within the jurisdiction of BPP Garkhal.
On 23-07-2025, Subash Chander Sharma, son of Luddu Ram Sharma and resident of Sidherwan Camp Garkhal, Tehsil Akhnoor, approached BPP Garkhal with a written complaint regarding the missing of his 28-year-old son, Bilash Sharma.
Upon receiving the complaint, a missing report was registered vide GD No. 06 dated 23-07-2025. A dedicated police team led by PSI Zahid Ganie of PS Akhnoor was constituted to trace the missing individual. The team launched a comprehensive search operation that included analysis of CCTV footage, technical surveillance, and the collection of local intelligence.
Significant contributions were also made by ASI Mumtaz Ahmed, Incharge BPP Garkhal, whose persistent efforts played a crucial role in the operation.
Thanks to the tireless and coordinated efforts of the police team, the missing person was successfully located in Chandigarh. Following all necessary legal formalities, he was safely reunited with his legal heirs.
