Early Times Report JAMMU, July 27: Rotary Club of Jammu City held its Presidential Installation Ceremony marking a new chapter of leadership and service. The event was graced by the august presence of Rotary District Governor Rtn Rohit Oberoi and Divisional Commissioner of Jammu Ramesh Kumar (IAS) who jointly officiated the installation of the club's new President Rtn Rajesh Sharma .In a ceremony filled with dignity and tradition, outgoing President Rtn Shivangi Gupta formally handed over the mantle of leadership to Rtn Rajesh Sharma, who will lead the club for the Rotary Year 2025-26. Rtn. Rajesh sharma is a distinguished entrepreneur and respected leader. He previously served as Chairman of Federation of Indian chamber of commerce & industry (FICCI) and Confederation of Indian industry (CII). The event was attended by Rotary members Sanjeev Vaid, Amit Gupta, Arvind Kotwal, Arun Ninawat, KK Sharma, Nirmal Mahna, Kamal Sharma, Dr Jyoti Kour, Ritika Mahajan, Abha Sundan, GN Tantray, Gurjeet Singh, members from different clubs, community leaders, dignitaries, and well-wishers. District Governor Rtn Rohit Oberoi, in his address, emphasized the significance of service through leadership and applauded the club's efforts in areas like education, sanitation, and healthcare. Divisional Commissioner Ramesh Kumar (IAS) as Special Guest, highlighted the longstanding partnership between civic administration and Rotary in community development. "Rotary Clubs act as an extended arm of the administration when it comes to public service.he added. In his acceptance speech, President outlined his vision for the year ahead, focusing on youth engagement, environmental sustainability, and rural outreach programs.
