GDC Hiranagar concludes summer internship programme

Hiranagar, July 28: The Department of Hindi, GLDM Degree College Hiranagar, successfully concluded its Summer Internship Programme 2025, under the patronage of Dr. Pragya Khanna worthy Principal of the college and conducted under the aegis of the college’s academic outreach and experiential learning initiative.
This Internship, held from 5th July to 25th of July 2025, provided participating students with practical exposure to community engagement, research methodology, rural documentation, and literary-cultural analysis, especially aligned with the objectives of the Unnat Bharat Abhiyan. The programme saw enthusiastic involvement from final-year undergraduate students of the Hindi department. Under the guidance of faculty members Prof. Rakesh Sharma, H.O.D and Dr. Vijay Kumar, the students carried out household surveys, field visits to adopted villages, (Arjun Chak, Thuthay Chak, Pheru Chak, Subha Chak and Tandwal) and interacted with local communities to understand social challenges, and the impact of Government Welfare Schemes.
The interns compiled their observations and reflections into project reports and creative write-ups, enriching both their academic and Social understanding. In the valedictory session, the Principal of the college, Dr. Pragya Khanna congratulated the department for its continued commitment to value-based education and skill-oriented learning.
