Jalandhar, July 28: With folk rhythms in the air and vibrant traditional attire lighting up the campus, Lovely Professional University came alive in a vibrant celebration of Haryali Teej. Female students, staff, and faculty dressed in colourful ethnic attire, gathered to celebrate the occasion with grace and enthusiasm.
The campus turned into a vibrant carnival as women faculty, staff, and students adorned in dazzling ethnic wear gathered to rejoice in the festive spirit. Swings wrapped in fresh flowers, stalls of glittering bangles, and the sweet scent of mehendi added to the charm, creating a truly magical atmosphere.
The beats of dhol, spirited Giddha performances, and melodious folk tunes that had everyone tapping their feet. Laughter echoed through the corridors as traditional games and cultural rituals unfolded, bringing the community together in celebration.
Adding grace to the occasion, Col. Dr. Rashmi Mittal, Pro-Chancellor of LPU, remarked, “Teej is more than a festival, it is a reflection of inner strength, beauty, and the timeless values women carry forward. At LPU, we celebrate such traditions to keep our cultural roots strong and inspire future generations.”
The celebration stood as a vibrant tribute to womanhood, tradition, and togetherness, lighting up the LPU campus with joy, unity, and festive splendour.
