Early Times Report JAMMU, Aug 2: On 2 August 2025, Army Public School, Nagrota, proudly conducted its Investiture and Scholarship Ceremony with great zeal and enthusiasm, celebrating student leadership and academic excellence.The event commenced with a soulful welcome song and ceremonial lamp lighting, followed by a welcome address by Ruchi Bahl, the Principal of Army Public School Nagrota, setting the tone for the prestigious occasion. The event was graced by Brigadier AnuragTyagi as the Chief Guest, accompanied by Vice Chairman Colonel Shitij Sharma, with their inspiring presence.The Investiture Ceremony witnessed the formal piping of student leaders, wherein House Captains, Vice Captains, House Prefects and Club Secretaries were conferred with their responsibilities. The highlight of the ceremony was the appointment of the School Council Members, with the Head Boy and Head Girl taking charge as the torchbearers of discipline and leadership. The newly appointed Head Boy administered the Oath to the council, pledging dedication and service to the school community. The ceremony also highlighted academic achievements through the Scholarship Distribution Ceremony. Class XII and X toppers were felicitated with a cash award of Rs 10,000 each. While other high achievers received Rs 5,000 in recognition of their outstanding performance. A special moment of pride was the conferring of the Brigadier Govil Scholarship to the Class VIII toppers from the Other Ranks (OR) category, acknowledging their excellence and perseverance. The school magazine was also unveiled during the event by the chief guest and the Principal, showcasing the year's achievements and creative expressions of students.The ceremony concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks by Vice Principal Avinash Mahajan, who expressed gratitude to the students, staff and distinguished guests for their invaluable contributions in making the event a grand success. |
