JAMMU, Aug 3: A monthly of Jammu Kashmir Teachers'Joint Action Committee (JKTJAC) held at Udhampur under the leadership of UT President Vinod Sharma and District President Lekh Raj Parihar today on 03.08.2025. The meeting was attended by executive and apex body members of JKTJAC from all the zones of the district.
Speaking on the occasion Vinod Sharma raised the genuine and burning issues of the teachers and urged the Education Minister and Secretary School Education to resolve these issues for the welfare of thousands of teachers of Jammu and Kashmir.
Raising the burning issue of comprehensive transfer policy in favour of teachers appointed under ReT scheme he appealed the Education Minister for the resolution of this issue. He said that even Hon'ble CAT has given clear cut directions that after regularisation ReTs are equivalent to general line teachers and they can't be differentiated on the basis of mode of their recruitment and can be transferred within the district.
Raising the genuine and burning issue of Old Pension Scheme in favour of employees appointed on or after 01.01.2010 Sharma appealed the Government to implement it by fulfilling the promise.
Highlighting the genuine issue of release of MDM dues Sharma said that teachers have managed money (a huge amount) from their own pockets for purchasing eating ingredients for smooth functioning of Mid Day Meals but the funds are released only for 3 to 4 months in the year 2024-25 and still there is huge liability for the year 2024-25 and 2025-26 and teachers are now unable to continue the same. He appealed the authorities concerned to look into the matter immediately and get released the pending dues under MDM, otherwise they will be forced to stop Mid Day Meals from September 2025 and for the suffering of poor students concerned authorities will be responsible.
He also appealed Director School Education Jammu for issuance of regularisation orders of left out ReTs who have completed 5 years ReT period whose files are lying in DSEJ and conversion of RRETs to Teachers Grade II/ III . He said that recently Director School Education Jammu issued regularisation of some ReTs and also conversion of RRETs to Teachers Grade II/III has been done which is quite appreciable job of Directorate and hoped same for pending cases.
He also appealed the Director for DPC of teachers to masters to clear the backlog.
He also demande Benefit of Cash in Lieu in favour of teaching fraternity;
Conversion of headteachers posts into non plan posts of masters;
Release of time barred arrears of Teachers/masters; Raising Grade of teachers at par with their counter parts in other UTs; Earned leave in favour of teachers engaged during summer/ winter vacation for summer/ winter camps and for other duties; Filling up of vacant posts of Headmasters in headless schools,.
