Early Times Report RAMGARH, Aug 3: The Indian Medical Association (IMA), Jammu, in collaboration with the Urban Forestry Division, successfully organized a massive plantation drive today at the Community Health Centre (CHC), Ramgarh. The initiative, aimed at promoting environmental conservation and creating a greener, healthier community, was held under the esteemed patronage of Dr. D.K. Manyal, Hon'ble MLA and Patron of IMA Jammu. The event saw enthusiastic participation from a number of distinguished personalities and community members. Dr. Pavan Malhotra, President of IMA Jammu, led the plantation drive, emphasizing the crucial link between a healthy environment and human well-being. "Planting trees is not just about beautifying our surroundings; it's an investment in our future and the health of our planet," said Dr. Malhotra. Dr. Sanjeev Narang, Honorary Secretary of IMA Jammu, and Dr. Arun Arora, Vice President, also actively participated, planting saplings and encouraging others to do the same and highlighted the role of IMA, Jammu, as a leading professional body of doctors dedicated to promoting public health and community welfare through various initiatives, including health camps, awareness campaigns, and environmental drives. Dr. T.R. Raina, Chief Advisor to IMA Jammu, highlighted the importance of such collaborative efforts between medical professionals and environmental agencies. The drive was also attended by Dr. Lakhwinder Singh, Block Medical Officer (BMO), Ramgarh, who expressed his gratitude to IMA Jammu for choosing CHC Ramgarh as the venue. The BMO, along with the entire medical and paramedical staff of the health center, participated with great zeal, planting a variety of saplings to enhance the green cover of the facility. The program was organized with the invaluable support of the Urban Forestry Division, which provided a wide range of saplings and technical guidance on planting and maintenance. This collaborative effort underscored the shared commitment of both organizations to public welfare.
