Early Times Report JAMMU, Aug 3: Tawi Welfare Society, in collaboration with the Forest Department, successfully organized a "Mega Plantation Drive" under the "Ek Pedh Maa Ke Naam" campaign, inspired by Honorable Prime Minister Narinder Modi at Apnavan Sure Chak, where over 300 saplings of various species were planted. This Drive was guided by Suresh Kumar Gupta, PCCF Jammu and supported by Ashwani Kumar, DFO Urban. The plantation drive was a resounding success. Alongside the plantation, a relief distribution function was also organized, distributing 75 blankets to needy individuals. Chief guest Rakesh Kumar Gupta, Superintendent Engineer, PHE, Irrigation and Flood Control Department Jammu, actively participated in the drive, highlighting the significance of environmental conservation. The initiative also saw contributions from a team of Social Forestry Jammu and notable figures such as Raghbir Singh Manhas, Subash Chandr Sharma, and Bishan Dass, underscoring the community's commitment to sustainability. This event showcases Tawi Welfare Society's dedication to environmental stewardship and community welfare.
