Early Times Report RAMNAGAR, Aug 4: As part of the 79th Independence Day celebrations being observed from August 1 to August 15, 2025, the NSS Unit of Government Degree College Ramnagar organized a symposium on August 4, 2025, on the theme 'Viksit Bharat - My Vision for Future India'. The program commemorated the 125th birth anniversary of eminent nationalist leader Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee, highlighting his ideology, contributions to national integration, and his vision for a strong and united India. The event was conducted under the guidance of NSS Programme Officer Prof. Ritika Mahajan with active participation from NSS volunteers, who delivered interesting and thought-provoking speeches envisioning a developed and self-reliant nation. Students delivered compelling speeches outlining their vision of a developed India, touching upon themes such as technological innovation, rural development, women empowerment, environmental sustainability, inclusive growth, and India's role as a global leader. Several speakers also highlighted Dr. Mookerjee's patriotism, leadership, and his efforts to uphold the sovereignty and integrity of the nation. Veenakshi (Semester III) secured the first position for her eloquent presentation on youth-driven progress. Preeti sharma (Semester III) jointly received the second position for their perspectives on sustainable development and digital India.
