Early Times Report JAMMU, Aug 4: The Employees' Provident Fund Organization (EPFO), Regional Office Jammu, conducted two focused awareness seminars on the PM Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana at Jammu Institute of Ayurveda, Bantlab, Jammu and Research and MIER, BC Road Jammu as part of its ongoing outreach initiative to educate and engage with establishments on the transformative potential of the yojana. The session was led by Devinder Singh, Enforcement Officer along with Bal Krishan, Enforcement Officer, who delivered detailed presentations outlining the objectives, key benefits, and implementation strategy of the PM Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana. The yojana, a flagship initiative aimed at job creation and formal workforce expansion, is expected to benefit 1.92 crore first-time employees and aims to create over 3.5 crore new jobs across India, with a strategic thrust on the manufacturing sector. Highlights of the Seminars Included: oA deep dive into the structure and purpose of the PM Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana. oBenefits for both employers and employees under the scheme. oOperational procedures and compliance framework. oThe vital role of employers in fostering formal employment and ensuring social security coverage. These seminars saw enthusiastic participation from 60-70 key stakeholders, including top management and HR officials from Jammu Institute of Ayurveda and Research and MIER, BC Road Jammu. Notable attendees from Jammu Institute of Ayurveda and Research included Ravish Sharma, MD, Nitin Mahajan, CEO, Suman Sharma, Chairperson & Amit Koul, Administrative Officer and from MIER, BC Road Jammu - Adit Gupta, Director, P.P. Sharma, Dy. Registrar Establishment & Arvind Kumar, Assistant Establishment who praised EPFO's efforts in demystifying the scheme and facilitating dialogue between the organization and establishments. Nitin Mahajan, CEO, JIAR & P.P. Sharma, Dy. Registrar Establishment, MIER elaborated by saying that this could pave for a long way in providing the right attitude, employment generation and right benefit for the people to whom it is meant to be. Lots of business houses would enroll for this and as time goes by, benefits will be there for individuals as well as stakeholders. Participants appreciated the interactive format and clarity of information shared, recognizing EPFO's commitment to empowering employers and employees through timely awareness initiatives.
