JKHCBA Jammu called upon Union Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Aug 4: The office bearers of the Jammu and Kashmir High Court Bar Association Jammu led by its President K. Nirmal Kotwal, comprising of Vice President Baldev Singh, General Secretary Pardeep Majotra, Joint Secretary Anshu Mahajan, and Treasurer Rahul Aggarwal held a constructive meeting with the Union Law Minister, Arjun Ram Meghwal at New Delhi. JKHCBAJ discussed various issues including, restorating the powers of judicial officers to registrar documents, government sponsored group insurance scheme for advocates, stipend to young lawyers, pension scheme for retiring advocates and setting up of a lawyers colony at Jammu and also emphasized the importance of creating an enabling environment for advocates to uphold the rule of law and efficiently serve the people. Union Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal gave a patient hearing to the association and expressed his commitment to addressing the issues raised. He assured the Association of the Government of India's support in facilitating necessary reforms and initiatives aimed at improving the working conditions of advocates and strengthening the justice delivery framework in Jammu and Kashmir. Minister Meghwal also highlighted the importance of the legal fraternity in safeguarding democratic values and pledged to work collaboratively with the Bar Association towards shared goals. Advocate Nirmal Kotwal thanked Sh. Arjun Meghwal ji for his valuable time and assured continuous coordination for constructive dialogue and implementation of beneficial measures for the legal community. This meeting marks a significant step forward in the ongoing efforts to voice the concerns of advocates and seek proactive solutions from the highest levels of the Union Government.
