UDHAMPUR, Aug 5: As a part of ongoing Independence Day Celebrations 2025, GDC Neeli Nallah Udhampur organized a symposium and a vibrant "Run for Unity" from campus to instill patriotic fervour and unity among students. The event was conducted under the esteemed presence of Principal of the College, Prof. (Dr.) Seema Arora. The symposium saw enthusiastic participation from students who eloquently expressed their views on India's journey to freedom, the sacrifices of national heroes and the importance of national integration. Following the symposium, a spirited "Run for Unity" was flagged off by the Principal, symbolizing the message of togetherness, strength, and commitment to the nation.
Speaking on the occasion, the Principal highlighted that events like these foster a spirit of unity, discipline and patriotism among students. It is not just a celebration of our freedom but also a reminder of the responsibilities we carry as citizens of this great nation.
The event witnessed the active involvement of the students as well as faculty members, all united in the spirit of patriotism. In the symposium, Varun, Rimjim Sharma, Sheriya Sharma secured 1st, 2nd and 3rd position respectively. The Principal appreciated the efforts of the organizing committee and encouraged students to uphold the values of freedom, responsibility and unity. The college remains committed to instilling national values among students through such meaningful and engaging activities.
