| Udhampur police booked a notorious drug peddler | | | Early Times Report
UDHAMPUR, Aug 5: Continuing its efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from the District. Police in Udhampur have booked Notorious drug peddler namely Amir Khan @ Meddu S/O Mir Qasim @ Allah Rakha R/O Saillan Talab Udhampur detained under PIT NDPS Act after obtaining formal detention orders from the competent authority.
The said accused person was promoting drug abuse trade by supplying drugs to the local youth of District Udhampur. His activities posed a serious threat to public health and safety. Many cases were registered against the said drug peddler in different police stations of District Udhampur
It is Pertinent to mention that the said accused was also detained under PIT NDPS in 2023 and was released in 2024.
Udhampur Police remains committed to its mission of making the district drug-free and will continue to take strict action against individuals involved in the illegal drug trade. |
