Jammu, Aug 5: A delegation led by Parvinder Singh Happy met with the Dr Devansh Yadav (IAS )Commissioner of Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) today to express heartfelt gratitude for the sanctioning of a major green development project in Jeevan Nagar. The project, approved under the National Clean Air Programme (NCAP), is valued at ₹188.50 lakh and will focus on the development of green space and road berms in Ward No. 58 through end-to-end paving, covering an approximate stretch of 1100 meters. As per the official e-NIT No. 35(P) of 2024–25 issued by the JMC Projects Division, the work is scheduled for completion within 270 days. Parvinder Singh Happy was joined by Chairman Sham Choudhary of the Jeevan Nagar Welfare Committee and a delegation comprising Sanjeev Sharma, Narinder Gupta Bitta, Anil Sanhi, Vijay Bajwa, Satpal Verma, Sukhwinder Singh, Rakesh Choudhary Mantri, Lokesh Gupta, Neeraj Gupta, Kala Choudhary, Juby, Sumit, Mahavir Sharma, Harvinder Singh Kali, Naveen Sharma, Narinder Singh, Goldy, and Damandeep Singh. The group extended their appreciation to the JMC for giving due attention to environmental infrastructure and for responding to the needs of the residents of Jeevan Nagar. During the meeting, the delegation also discussed several pressing civic issues, particularly the ongoing improvements in sanitation and cleanliness. They commended the efforts being made by the JMC and conveyed their optimism about more development projects being initiated in the near future. The JMC Commissioner welcomed the positive feedback and assured the delegation of continued cooperation and transparency in the execution of municipal works.
