Fifteen Days Summer Internship Programme concluded at GDC Ghagwal

Ghagwal, Aug 7: The 15-day summer internship programme organized by Govt. Degree College Ghagwal in collaboration with the Mission Shakti, Social welfare Department and REACHA Foundation concluded on a high note with a valedictory function. The event marked the culmination of two weeks of creative exploration, hands-on learning, and artistic expression.
The summer internship brought together fifty enthusiastic participants of Semester V students who were eager to learn the intricate techniques of resin art—a contemporary medium known for its versatility in creating decorative and functional art pieces. Over the course of the program, participants were trained in various aspects including resin pouring, color mixing, safety techniques, mold preparation, finishing, and preservation.
The valedictory function was graced by Dr. Sujata Slathia, Principal of the college, along with other dignitaries including Dr. Ruchi Thakur, District Mission Coordinator, SANKALP: HEW; Ms. Isha Bali, State Lead, REACHA Foundation; Ms. Mansi and Ms. Ritika, Gender specialist, Sankalp: HEW; Mr. Ravi Project Supervisor REACHA Foundation, Mr. Vijay Kumar, HOD Sociology,Dr. Babita, HOD Dogri, Mr. Hardev, Mr. Summet, Ms. Amrita, Ms. Nisha, Mr. Avtaar, Mr Tushar, Mr. Sachin and Ms. Mamta, Resource Person of the 15 days internship programme.
Dr. Sujata Slathia, Chief guest of the occasion in her address, emphasized the importance of continuous learning and skill enhancement in today’s fast-changing world. She further added that these initiatives not only promote skill development but also foster entrepreneurship and creativity, especially among youth and aspiring artists.
Dr. Ruchi Thakur, District Mission Coordinator, SANKALP: HEW speaking on the occasion said that Initiatives like this are the backbone of community development and employment generation and their department is leaving no stones unturned towards enhancing practical skills and professional competencies among youth.
Ms. Isha Bali, State Lead, REACHA Foundation said many of these participants are now ready to turn their passion into profession. She further said their foundation is ready to provide advance knowledge of theses arts if they are inclined to it.
Ms. Mamta, Resource person expressed pride in the growth and commitment shown by the learners.
During the ceremony, participants shared their experiences, highlighting how the workshop enhanced their confidence and capabilities. Certificates of completion were distributed to all successful participants. Participants also showcased their final resin art creations during the even reflecting the diverse techniques and personal styles developed over the 15 days.
