| GCOE Jammu, NGO organizes plantation drive | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Aug 7: GCOE Jammu and Helping Hands NGO Organize Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam Plantation Drive Government College of Education (GCOE) Jammu, in collaboration with Helping Hands NGO Jammu, successfully organized the "Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam" plantation drive on Thursday. The event aimed to promote environmental sustainability and raise awareness about the importance of tree plantation. The chief guest of the program was Dean of Student Welfare (DSW) Dr. Daljeet Singh Manhas as the chief guest and Dr. Amitpal Kaur, NSS coordinator, Cluster University Of Jammu, faculty members of GCOE Jammu, along with enthusiastic students. Sourav Sharma, Head of Helping Hands NGO Jammu, highlighted the significance of the event and emphasized the role of tree plantation in combating climate change. During the event, approximately 120 plants were planted within the college campus. The plantation drive was started with a "Prakriti Vandhan" ceremony by Dr. Rajinder Kour organised by the Nature Club in association with NPSG. The event was coordinated by Dr. Subhra Jamwal and her NSS Team. The Program was attended by Dr. Sunanda Rani, Prof. Satish Sharma, Prof. Anuradha Choudhary, other Faculty Members and NSS Volunteers who committed to contribute towards a greener and more sustainable future. GCOE Jammu and Helping Hands NGO Jammu look forward to continuing such initiatives in the future. |
