| Drug Peddler Detained Under PIT NDPS Act by Udhampur Police | | |  Early Times Report
Udhampur, Aug 7: Continuing its crackdown on drug trafficking in the district, Udhampur Police has booked another notorious drug peddler namely Tarun Gupta @ Kaka S/O Ved Parkash R/O Ward No. 01, Jakhani Near Gujjar Hostel, Tehsil and District Udhampur under the Prevention of Illicit Traffic in Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (PIT NDPS) Act after obtaining formal detention orders from the competent authority.
The said accused has been actively involved in promoting the drug trade in Udhampur and was found to be supplying narcotic substances to the local youth, posing a serious threat to public health and societal well-being. Several cases stand registered against him at different police stations across the district.
This is the second such PIT NDPS detention warrant executed by Udhampur Police this week as part of its intensified campaign against drug peddlers.
Udhampur Police reaffirms its firm commitment to making the district drug-free and will continue to act tough against those involved in the illicit drug trade. |
