Gdc R S Pura organizes cleanliness drive

R.S Pura, Aug 7: In the spirit of patriotism and community service, Government Degree College R.S. Pura under the patronage of the Principal, Dr. (Prof.) Preetpal Kour, organized Cleanliness Drive on the college campus as a part of ongoing 79th Independence Day celebrations. The initiative aimed to promote awareness about hygiene and the importance of a clean environment among students and staff.
The drive was inaugurated by the Principal, Dr. (Prof.) Preetpal Kour who highlighted the importance and role of youth in building a clean and developed India. NSS volunteers, NCC cadets, and students actively participated in the campaign with great enthusiasm.
The volunteers cleaned the corridors, lawns, collecting plastic waste and spreading awareness about waste segregation and eco-friendly practices. The event was coordinated by Dr. Akrity Parihar Convener, Campus cleanliness committee and Prof. Lukesha, NSS. PO. They both emphasized that cleanliness drive is not just a one-day activity but part of our continuous efforts to inculcate a sense of responsibility and civic duty. Prominent faculty members Dr Anupama Pangotra, Dr. Neeti Chibber, Dr Renu Sharma, Dr. Roopali, Dr. Savleen Kour and Dr. Kiran Lata also participated in the event.
