Early Times Report JAMMU, Aug 7: Director Agriculture Jammu, Anil Gupta, today chaired a comprehensive review meeting at Krishi Bhawan, Talab Tillo, Jammu, to assess the physical and financial progress, including the expenditure incurred under various schemes being implemented across the region. The meeting focused on key programmes such as Centrally Sponsored Schemes (CSS), CAPEX, and the Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP). The meeting was attended by Joint Director Agriculture (SLUB), S. Sohan Singh, Deputy Director (Planning), Smt. Priyanka Parihar, and sectoral heads of different schemes under the Agriculture Department. Chief Agriculture Officers (CAOs) from all districts of Jammu Division joined the review through virtual conferencing (V.C.). During the session, Director Agriculture emphasized the need to expedite the utilization of available funds to ensure timely and maximum achievement under the ongoing schemes. He instructed the officers to strictly adhere to quality parameters and Codal formalities while executing all infrastructure development works in line with approved Detailed Project Reports. Anil Gupta further directed the officers to identify and promptly address bottlenecks that may hinder the effective implementation of various farmer welfare schemes. He particularly stressed the importance of proactive field-level monitoring and coordination to ensure that schemes are executed smoothly and that their benefits reach the intended farming community. The Director also reviewed the progress of flagship Centrally Sponsored Schemes, including PMKSY, PDMC, SMAM, RAD, RKVY, PKVY, ATMA, NFSM, among others. Detailed discussions were held with Chief Agriculture Officers on targets achieved and strategies for improving outcomes under these schemes. In his concluding remarks, Anil Gupta directed all Chief Agriculture Officers to submit the latest Monthly Progress Reports (MPRs) to the Directorate without delay. He urged all officers to maintain a high level of efficiency, transparency, and accountability in their work, ensuring that the financial and physical progress aligns with set timelines and objectives. The meeting concluded with a call for all officers to maintain a high level of efficiency and ensure that the benefits of these schemes reach the intended beneficiaries. |
