IGP Crime Sujit Kumar Singh visits Crime Branch headquarters | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Aug 7: The Inspector General of Police Crime J&K, Sujit Kumar Singh-IPS today visited Crime Branch Headquarter Jammu, interacted with officers, officials, inspected all units and held crime review meeting. On his arrival at CB headquarters Jammu, IGP was accorded warm welcome by the senior officers of Crime Branch Jammu, as it was his first visit to Jammu after taking over the charge of IGP Crime Branch J&K. During his visit, he took staff of the available resources, their utilization and additional requirements vis-à-vis targets and goals of Crime Branch, Jammu. He also held threadbare discussion on complex cases and imparted necessary directions to the officers directly concerned with investigations. He shared his experiences with regard to the investigations of high profile cases in various districts of J&K. In his address, IGP Sujit Kumar Singh emphasized on the need to play proactive role to curb financial frauds, drugs and cyber crimes and said that every officer, official of CB should work with zeal and mission to free the society from malaises of different kind of frauds. He asked the controlling officers to project the welfare and promotional matters of jawans to Crime Headquarters J&K on priority basis so that the same may be submitted to PHQ for favorable necessary action. He advised the investigating officers to conduct investigations without fear or favour, prejudice or predilection maintaining high standards of ethics, honesty, integrity and credibility. Outstanding officers and officials conducting exemplary investigations leading to convictions shall be handsomely rewarded, IGP added.
