The students of Kendriya Vidyalaya, Uri celebrated the festival of Raksha Bandhan with traditional sentiments and respect with the brave soldiers deployed at CISF Unit, Uri on 08 August 2025. This event was a symbol of strong cultural and emotional ties between the school and Central Industrial Security Force (CISF). On this special occasion, the chief guest, Commandant, CISF Unit Uri, Ravi Yadav, and Special Guest Deputy Commandant Manoj Kumar Maurya, and Principal of Kendriya Vidyalaya Uri, Abhijeet Singh Gurania were present. The program was successfully conducted under their leadership. The program started with a welcome song by the students of the school, after which the girls of the school tied rakhis on the wrists of the CISF soldiers and offered them respect, affection and gratitude. Each student presented rakhis and greeting cards made by her own hands. The soldiers also blessed the children and wished them a bright future. Principal Abhijeet Singh Gurania described this initiative as an excellent example of sensitivity, patriotism and discipline. He said that such events strengthen the feeling of respect and patriotism towards the security forces among the students. Commandant Ravi Yadav praised this initiative of the school and said, "We stay away from our families while being posted at the border, but today the Rakhis tied by the children reminded us of our home and family. This affection and belongingness inspires us to serve the country with more dedication."
