| PDP is trader of sentiments: Omar | | | Early Times Report
Srinagar, May 9: Describing PDP a combination of opportunists converged to trade people’s sentiments for personal gains, the Chief Minister, Mr. Omar Abdullah Monday cautioned the people about the nefarious designs of this party. “To wedge apart public opinion and create confusion in the minds of people on crucial issues is the sole aim of PDP”, he added.
Addressing various election rallies in Kangan and Ganderbal constituencies, he said that the real face of PDP has been exposed by their actions and the party leadership is so frustrated and desperate that they speak naked lies to mislead the public.
Abdullah said that National Conference is committed to the settlement of all issues pertaining to Jammu and Kashmir amicably and has always worked for peace, development and honour of the people of Jammu and Kashmir. “Soon the new Government takes over at the Centre, the National Conference would play its role in resumption of both dialogue channels between Union Government and the separatist leaders and India and Pakistan”, he said and asked people not to get carried away by the false propaganda of PDP as this party has been created by BJP for misleading and dividing people. Chief Minister said that PDP leadership is acting like jokers and are out to trade on sensitive issues and people’s aspirations. “They are spreading rumours and false reports to malign the National Conference and the coalition government. It has been their tradition and they will continue to stand on lies as this is their survival”, he said and added that on reading writings on wall that people of Jammu and Kashmir are writing off this party, PDP leadership is stooping lower and lower day-by-day in spreading rumours, carrying bogus propaganda against National Conference and the Government and resorting to use of indecent and foul language. This he said is nothing but sheer frustration of this party.
Omar Abdullah asked the people to exercise their right to vote in favour of Dr. Farooq Abdullah from Srinagar-Budgam Parliamentary Constituency in large number and reject the rumor mongers and emotional blackmailers adding Dr. Farooq Abdullah is the right choice to represent not only Srinagar-Budgam Parliamentary Constituency but the State as whole in the Parliament and other central foras.
Chief Minister told the people that his government was alive to all difficulties of the residents of Jammu and Kashmir adding that government’s every effort would be for the larger interests of people of the State. He said the next six years’ of coalition government would be remembered in the history as the golden period of development.
