| Billawar police initiates proclamation proceedings against absconding accused | | |  Early Times Report
KATHUA, Aug 9: J&K Police Kathua at Police Station Billawar has initiated proclamation proceedings under Section 87 of the Jammu & Kashmir Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC) against an absconding accused in FIR No. 43/2010, registered under Sections 4/25 Arms Act & 120 RPC at Police Station Billawar.
The accused, who has been evading arrest despite repeated efforts, has been identified as:
Vishal Kumar @ Vishu S/o Dina Nath, R/o Panjtirthi, near Old Court, District Jammu.
As part of the legal procedure, proclamation notices under Section 87 J&K CrPC were affixed at the accused's last known residence. Additionally, public proclamation was carried out in his native locality through drum beating and loudspeaker announcements, directing the accused to appear before the Hon'ble Court within the stipulated time period.
The proceedings were executed by the police team of PS Billawar led by SHO Billawar Insp Zaheer Mushtaq under the supervision of SP upper Kathua Sh Aumir Iqbal and SDPO Billawar Sh Neeraj Padyar overall supervision of SSP Kathua Shobhit Saksena -IPS.
J&K Police Kathua have appealed to the general public to provide any information regarding the whereabouts of the absconder to the nearest police station. Strict legal action shall be taken against any individual found harbouring or assisting the accused, as per law. |
