| DGP inspects PHQ, chairs high level security meeting | | | Early Times Report Jammu, May, 04- Director General of Police, (DGP) Kuldeep Khoda, inspected various moving police establishments including Police Headquarters (PHQ) which re-opened in the summer capital on Darbar move in Srinagar today. On his arrival the DGP was received by senior police officers and was presented guard of honour by a contingent of armed police at the lawns of Police Headquarters. Later, the DGP, accompanied by senior police officers reviewed the functioning of various sections of PHQ. He interacted with officers and other ranks and emphasized to ensure that all the sections are well equipped with modern infrastructure and working conditions of the officials improved for better performance. During the inspection, Khoda, stressed upon them to render their duties with zeal, enthusiasm and discipline. He enquired from them about the residential accommodation. After opening of PHQ, the DGP also chaired a high-level meeting of Senior Police Officers and reviewed the over all law and order situation and security arrangements in detail made for conduct of Lok Sabha elections in Srinagar, Baramulla and Ladakh Parliamentary Constituencies, which are going to polls on May 7 and 13, respectively, in a smooth free, fair and transparent manner. During the deliberations, senior officers briefed the meeting about the arrangements for conduct of peaceful elections in all the Constituencies. Khoda asked the security agencies to provide adequate security at the various polling stations so that people could exercise their democratic right of franchise smoothly.
