Jammu, May 04- Justice Virender Singh of Jammu and Kashmir High Court Jammu Wing in a petition filed by Mohammed Sharief Rather of Bhallessa today issued notice to State of J&K through Financial Commissioner Home, Deputy Commissioner Doda, DGP J&K, SSP Doda and others returnable within three weeks and directed that the prayer of the petition with regard to providing of security cover be considered without any delay.
The Court further directed that in case the service is effected upon the respondents before the next date, SSP Doda shall furnish the reply to the instant petition by way of his own affidavit especially after examining the case of the petitioner with regard to threat perception as the petitioner was earlier in the good books of the police and provided two PSO which have suddenly been withdrawn without recording any reason. In the meanwhile, the court further directed that the case of the petitioner for providing security cover be considered without any delay.
Mohammed Sharief Rather son of Abdul Rahim Rather resident of Thaloran Tehsil Gandoh (Bhallessa) District Doda in his petition claimed that due to his efforts and cooperation number of hardcore militants including Zakir Hussain Malik alias Zuver Deputy Divisional Commander HM operating in the area were eliminated by the security forces. He further submitted that in view of the threat perception to the petitioner and his family members security picket was set up at the residence of the petitioner which was illegally and arbitrary removed by the SSP Doda. The petitioner seeks quashment of the SSPs order as the petitioner and his family members have become the target of HM and UHA. JNF
