Early Times Report

Kalakote, Aug 11: In a spirited display of patriotism and unity, the National Service Scheme (NSS) unit of GDC Kalakote under the thoughtful guidance of the worthy principal of the college, Prof. Mohd Farooq Mirza, organized a vibrant Tiranga Rally as a part of celebration of 79th Independence day, 2025 that saw the enthusiastic participation of 67 students and dedicated faculty members, including Dr. Mohd Ali Shahbaz, Prof. Khalida Parveen, Dr. Khursheed Ahmed, and Prof. Davinder Singh (NSS PO).
The rally began from the college campus, with students and faculty marching together, proudly raising the Indian tricolour and chanting slogans like “Jai Hind” and “Bharat Mata Ki Jai.” The principal officially flagged off the procession, emphasizing the importance of remembering freedom fighters’ sacrifices and inspiring youth to uphold national values. As the march wound through nearby streets, its energy resonated with community members, fostering a shared sense of civic pride and solidarity. Upon returning to campus, the rally concluded with a brief program featuring heartfelt speech by NSS Program Officer, reflections on the spirit of independence, and the singing of the national anthem—reaffirming the institution’s commitment to nurturing responsible, patriotic citizens.”
