UDHAMPUR, Aug 12: Ms. Sarah Rizvi, IPS, DIG Udhampur-Reasi Range, chaired a security review meeting to finalize arrangements for Independence Day celebrations and the upcoming Kailash Kund Yatra in District Udhampur.
The DIG directed strict access control, area domination & coordinated deployment to ensure smooth & secure Independence Day functions.
Regarding the Kailash Kund Yatra commencing on August 20, 2025, from Baba Basuki Nag Temple, Dudu, the meeting covered a wide range of aspects including security arrangements, intelligence sharing, traffic management, medical and emergency services and infrastructure logistics. She emphasized maintaining high vigilance and preparedness throughout the Yatra and instructed officers to conduct advance area dominance, reviews, briefing sessions and drills for effective implementation of plans.
