| HM militant commander killed in Doda | | | early Times Report Jammu, May 4-Doda police Monday killed one of the longest surviving Hizbul Mujahideen militant commanders in fierce gunfight in Gandoh tehsil of Doda district. According to senior superintendent of Police Prabhat Singh, “Hizbul Mujahideen militant commander Dawood Bhat alias Captain Masood was killed in fierce gunfight with jawans of Doda police in dense forest area of Gandoh early Monday." The senior police officer said that Dawood Bhat, resident of village Kilotrian, was recently pushed inside the Indian Territory to reorganize militant cadre and launch operations against the security forces. According to police Bhat was camping in Pakistan for 14 long years before returning to Doda.
