Early Times Report UDHAMPUR, Aug 21: The three-day historic Sankri Devta Mela, which commenced on August 19, 2025, at Block Panchari in District Udhampur, successfully concluded, witnessing overwhelming participation of more than 30,000 devotees and visitors. Pilgrims from across the Union Territory thronged the mela site to pay obeisance at the Sankri Devta Temple and seek the divine blessings of the deity. The concluding ceremony was attended by DIG Udhampur-Reasi Range, Sarah Rizvi, Deputy Commissioner Udhampur, Saloni Rai, SSP Udhampur, Amod Ashok Nagpure, DDC Member Jasvir Singh, DDC Narsoo, Subash Chander; IAS Probationer, Seerat Baji, Mela Officer, Tehsildar Panchari, Vipan Kumar, along with other officers, prominent civil society members and local residents. They paid their respects at the holy shrine of Sankri Devta. |
