CHANDIGARH, Aug 23: The Induction Week at Mehr Chand Mahajan DAV College for Women culminated in a grand celebration with the much-awaited Infotainment Extravaganza. Organised under the aegis of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), the week-long programme was designed to familiarise newcomers with the ethos and culture of the institution, and the dazzling extravaganza proved to be a befitting finale.
The event witnessed the presence of popular personalities- Prince Kanwaljit, noted actor, performer and TV presenter, and Singha, acclaimed actor and singer, who enthralled the audience with their vibrant presence. Adding to the charm of the event, singer Bhumi captivated everyone with her soulful performance, leaving the audience swaying to her melodies. During the event, the Deans and Conveners of various Committees and Clubs were also introduced, acquainting the students with the diverse platforms of engagement that MCM offers.
The extravaganza featured a series of engaging performances, including a humorous skit introducing freshers to college rules, vibrant dance acts, and melodious song renditions- all of which were met with enthusiastic applause. The highlight of the extravaganza was the Ms. Fresher Contest, where newcomers confidently walked the ramp, showcasing their grace.
Welcoming the new batch, Officiating Principal Ms. Neena Sharma inspired the students with her words of wisdom. Think independently, act responsibly, and above all, remain a good human being."
