| Ticket checking campaign to prevent ticketless travel in Jammu Division | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, Aug 23: Indian Railways has further strengthened its ticket checking system. So that illegal travel can be curbed and revenue loss can be reduced. In this context, an intensive ticket checking campaign was conducted by the ticket checking staff in Jammu Division today on 23 August 2025. This ticket checking campaign was conducted between Katra, Jammu and Kathua rail sections under the leadership of Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Uchit Singhal.
In this ticket checking campaign, Assistant Commercial Manager Manoj Kumar and Ticket Inspector Jammu Abdul Rashid along with other ticket checking staff thoroughly checked train numbers 12445, 12920 12472, 12238 and 12919. In which a total amount of 36770 was collected as fine from 76 passengers. On this surprise ticket checking campaign organized in the division, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Mr. Uchit Singhal said that this ticket checking campaign will be run from time to time in the division. So that passengers traveling without ticket can be curbed. Therefore, Jammu division requests all the respected passengers. To travel in Indian Railways with valid ticket or pass. |
