Amit terms Gen Al & Disruptive Tech as future in Goa IT Conclave | | | PANJIM (GOA), Aug 23: Amit Sharma, Secretary to the Government of Mizoram, Information & Communications Technology (ICT) Department and Director Census Operations & Citizen Registration, Mizoram led a very important session as a moderator & keynote speaker during the 18th Digital Transformation Conclave organized by Goa Electronics Limited in collaboration with GovConnect & iLounge Media wherein Goa IT & Tourism Minister Rohan Khaunte was the Chief Guest and Mizoram IT, H&TE, School, I&PR Minister Pu Vanlalthlana was the Guest of Honour. Amit Sharma, Secretary ICT Mizoram, being a subject-specialist, was invited all the way to share his perspectives in Goa while leading an all-important Panel Talk as a moderator-cum-keynote speaker on the theme of 'Reimagining Governance : The Role of Generative AI & Disruptive Technolgoies' wherein he happened to mystically engage the audience through his eloquent speaking mode, which he has been doing in several national and international conclaves wherein he has been contributing over past many years. Amit, during his address, described that Generative Artificial Intelligence as the next 'in-thing' which is being adopted by many state Governments all across the nation for helping in data analytics with the usage of disruptive technologies, in order to ease out the life of citizens. Earlier in the day, during the Inaugural Session, Mizoram IT Minister Pu Vanllthalana, being Guest of Honour, shared very important aspects of AI and the underlying vast potential of expanding IT-base in Mizoram for which he extended a red carpet welcome to top IT giants with proven track-record to come and invest. The importance of IT initiatives being taken in Mizoram in recent times can gauged from the fact that the Minister not only sent ICT Secretary Amit Sharma to attend this important IT-Conclave but himself led this visit, so as to ensure healthy interaction with top IT Corporates and bring them to in contribute in multiple sectors in Mizoram. While interacting with speakers holding key positions ranging from advanced IT states like Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh to the moderately advanced states like Haryana, Maharashtra & Delhi, Secretry ICT Mizoram Amit Sharma tried to connect the dots and make audience understand the level of IT interventions required and AI-models including data mining models in the times to come. Secretary IT Mizoram Amit Sharma also emphasized the importance of adopting best Cyber Security tools in the current scenario, while sharing contemporary example of recent tension risen with our neighbouring nation, wherein under a cyber war startegy was used through nefarious unsuccessful attempts to hack, deface and destroy our key websites, which were countered professionally very well by our vigilant national cyber security grid. Secretary ICT Mizoram Amit Sharma during his talk also shared that the future Government working shall have applicability of Gen-AI & disruptive technologies in key sectors like Education, Health Care, Agriculture, Defence and even tertiary sectors, which is being encouraged heavily by the Government of India through India AI-Mission.
