Rajouri police foils bovine smuggling attempts | | | Early Times Report
Rajouri, Aug 24: Rajouri Police continues its crackdown on illegal transportation of bovine animals. In two separate incidents reported Chingus police teams rescued 16 bovine animals and registered two FIRs under relevant sections of law. Chingus Area – Two Cases Registered During naka checking in the Keri area by Police Post Chingus led by IC PP Chingus two vehicles were intercepted: Vehicle No. JK11D-8193 (Tata Mobile) was found transporting 07 bovine animals via Sasalkote Road without valid permission,the driver managed to flee from the spot. In another case Vehicle No. JK 12A -6953(Tata Mobile) was intercepted on Sawni Road and was found carrying 09 bovine animals also without valid permission,the driver managed to flee from the spot. In both cases the animals were rescued and the both Vehicles have been seized. Separate cases have been registered: FIR No. 428/2025 under Section 223 BNS & 11 PCA Act and FIR No. 429/2025 under Section 223 BNS & 11 PCA Act at Police Station Rajouri. Rajouri Police remains committed to curbing bovine smuggling and ensuring strict action against violators. Investigations in both cases are underway. |
