| ASCOMS observe world asthma day | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, May 5: The department of Chest Diseases and Tuberculosis, of Acharya Shri Chander College of Medical Sciences and Hospital (ASCOMS) Sidhra celebrated World Asthma Day here today. Doctors on the occasion conducting free asthma detection camp, were 84 patients were examined free of cost by Dr. Veena Gupta (Prof and HOD), Dr. Sanjeev Narang (Lecturer) and Dr. Anupma (Junior Resident) Free Spirometry (Lung Function test) was done for those patients who were suspected of asthma.
Patients were also given the asthma education and correct method of using inhalers. Chest X-Ray was also done at discounted rates Free medicines were given to poor and needy patients. This year the theme of World Asthma Day is “You Can Control Your Asthma” It was impressed upon that asthma is a controllable disease in majority of patients and asthma patients can live a normal life by controlling their asthma.
