| Udhampur Police Issues Lookout Notice After Headless Body Found Near Tikri | | |

UDHAMPUR, Aug 26: A shocking case has come to light in Udhampur district after the recovery of a headless body of a woman near Dukhada Muttal bridge under the jurisdiction of Police Post Tikri.
According to police sources, the incident was reported on August 23, 2025. The woman, believed to be aged between 40 and 45 years, was allegedly murdered by unknown person(s) with criminal intent. The assailants reportedly slit her throat and threw her body near the bridge.
Following the gruesome discovery, a case FIR No. 134/2025 under Section 103 BNS was registered at Police Station Rehambal, and an investigation has been launched. The body is currently kept at the mortuary of GMC Udhampur for identification and post-mortem.
The deceased has been described as Hindu, approximately 5'1" to 5'3" in height, wearing a light green T-shirt and green pajama, with pink bangles on her hands. A distinctive identification mark-a Trishul (Trident) tattoo-was found on her left hand.
