Donald Trump’s Daadagiri
8/31/2025 9:07:58 PM
Omkar Dattatray

American president Donald Trump is busy doing Daadagiri in the world and intimidating the international community with the aim to make the whole world to toe its line. He is overtly and covertly bullying various countries in the multipolar globe little realising that today’s world will not fall in line and obey the dictates of the world cop. US is directly as well as indirectly controlling the world bank, IMF, Asian Development bank and other world agencies. The world has become multipolar and is no longer unipolar and this reality and hard fact should be appreciated by the American president. Trump is on the job of blackmailing the countries across the globe and is showing his superiority as the world’s most influential leader. The, US president is indulging in worst kind of bullying and in this way is distancing many countries from America. Trump is sidelining every nation that does not fall in his line and does not obey him. He is doing dadagiri in world politics and economics and tries to mould geopolitics and economics in his way to benefit exclusively America. Trump is doing hegemony and is through and through exploiting the developing economies and showing his strength and valour. Union minister Nitin Gadkari took a veiled attack at the US President Donald Trump for his tariff policy , saying, ,’’Those who are doing Daadagiri are doing so because they are financially strong and have technology,’’ While delivering a lecture at the Vissevaraya National Institute of Technology—VNIT in Nagpur ,Gadkari said we Indians would remain guided by culture despite becoming financially strong .’’If our exports and economic growth rate increases ,I don’t think we need to go to anyone .Those who here are doing Daadagiri are doing so because they are financially strong and have technology .Today if we become financially strong and also become ahead in technology, even after this we will not bully anyone because it is not our culture. Our culture teaches us welfare of the world is our purpose.US tariff of 50% on goods from India took effect on August 27,2025 as Trump sought to punish India for buying Russian oil and weapons. The tariff among the highest in the world –include a 25% penalty for transactions with Russia that are a key source of funds for its war with Ukraine, India, as a vital strategic US partner in the Indo-Pacific,has shown no sign of stopping its purchases, calling the tariffs unfair and vowing to choose the ‘’best deal’’ on buying oil to protect its 1.4 billion people. But there are fears that exports and growth in the world fifth largest economy could suffer. The US was until recently, India’s largest trading partner. The tariff setback has sent Indian government in firefighting mood. Earlier this month Prime minister Narendra Modi promised to cut taxes to mitigate the impact of tariffs which will disrupt millions of livelihoods across the country’s export -oriented industries that supply everything from cloths to diamond and shrimp to air-conditioners. Modi said a Diwali gift in the form of a massive tax bonanza was on its way for the common man and millions of small businesses that power Asia’s third largest economy. Modi urged small shop owners and businesses to put up boards of ‘’Swadshi’’ or ‘’made in India ’’outside their shops .He stressed make in India and spend in India. After Trump’s 50 % tariff came into operation Baba Ram Dev advised all to avoid going to KFC’s ,Mc Donalds and subway, saying companies like Coca Cola, Pepsi and Nike should be completely banned. He said India is the biggest market in the world and no patriotic citizen of the country see at Apple showroom until Trump comes to senses’’ If anyone is using America products this time, it is betrayal of the country. This is fight for the economic freedom. This time everyone should take revenge for this mindset together, ’’Baba Ramdev said, Trump has made a mistake by provoking Indians with his tariffs which has such a large, consumers. He said, if India forms a new alliance with China, Russia ,Middle East countries and European nations ,then value of dollar will be slashed .Baba Ramdev has strongly criticised US President Donald Trump’s decision to impose 50% tariff on Indian goods ,calling it ‘’political bullying .Urging Indians to respond ,Ramdev called for a boycott of popular American fast food brands like LFC .and McDonald, famously saying,’’ America mai hahakar mach Jayega.’’As Trump hits India ,Baba Ramdev is here to save the day. It was a busy Wednesday for TV news anchors, and even busier one for Ramdev’s calendar. By some yoga miracle, the Patanjali cofounder managed to stretch himself across ABP News with Chitra Tripathi, AajTak with Shweta Singh, News 18 India with Aman Chopra and even India TVs Surav Sharma. All on the same day. The subject was the renewed push for ‘’swadeshi’’ after Donald Trump’s tariffs. Earlier this month PM Narendra Modi had urged the nation to go local, and the Swadeshi Jagran Manch plus RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat, among others have echoed the call. After all, TV Newsrooms have long served as Ramdev’s favourite yoga mat, where he has previously bent medical science out of shape, called allopathy a foreign conspiracy, and fretted about medical tourism. Was Wednesday a spontaneous swadeshi media moment? Or synchronised deep-breathing? Have a look on it. While answering questions of Sweta Singh of Aaj Tak Baba Randev said,’’ Ramdev casually threw in a Patanjali plug He boasted that while the company has a turnover of nearly Rs 50,000 crore, there is a sentiment of ‘’altruism’’ behind it.’’ The intention behind it -running Patanjali is not to earn money, there is a sense of altruism behind the money—that the country’s money should stay in India and be used to serve the country. We have taken part in the upliftment and prosperity of the country---swadeshi is not just a product for us, it is an idea.it is our Sanskar. A culture self- respect. Swadeshi education, swadeshi medicine, swadesh economy swadeshi farming is all that is needed in the country. With this we can nullify the impact of Trump’s tariff tranny. While speaking to News 18, Ramdev said as he donned the hat of an economist. .’’India’s GDP will be good. India’s growth rate will be good. The value of India’s currency will increase India’s economic progress will be greater than before.’’ Ramdev said boycott all American products ---Don’t buy Apple phones .From Coca -Cola to Pepsi ,customers should not be seen at their counters .Eat home food -dal,roti ,vegetables .It is healthier .if you stop eating burgers and pizzas for a while ,your health will improve .Trumps imposition of 50 per cent tariff on Indian imports is sheer political and economic bullying and hooliganism .Ramdev also explained the meaning of Swdashi and said it has three meanings ,’’Make in India ,made for the world with money of India and the third is the indigenous economy ,agriculture, education along with pride of ones religion and the resolve to sacrifice everything for the interest of the country. If all what has been stressed by PM Modi and the Yoga Guru Ramdev about swadesh and make in India and spend in the country, the adverse impact of Trump’s traffic imposition on Indian goods will be reduced to minimum. In fact, Trump has been stumped out by Modi who said that the interests of the countrymen will be protected at any cost and he did not compromise with the interests of the people, businessmen and traders, farmers, fishermen and diary operators. Rest, we can conclude that Trumps tariffs are nothing short of Daadagiri and hooliganism.
