DDC Doda reviews damages to crops, livestock due to heavy rains, Issues directions for immediate relief measures | | | Early Times Report DODA, Aug 31: District Development Commissioner (DDC) Doda Harvinder Singh today convened a meeting to assess the actual damages caused to crops and livestock in the agriculture sector due to the heavy rains across the district. The meeting was attended by ADDC Roshan Lal, CPO Manesh Kumar, along with officers from Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal Husbandry, Sheep Husbandry and other allied agro sectors. During the meeting, the dc sought detailed reports regarding crop losses, damage to fruit orchards and livestock casualties. The DDC directed all concerned officers to conduct thorough ground assessments in coordination with field functionaries to ensure that the losses are accurately documented. He further instructed the departments to submit consolidated reports at the earliest so that the affected farmers and livestock owners are provided timely relief and assistance under the provisions of existing schemes and guidelines. The DDC emphasized the need for close monitoring of affected areas, ensuring that every genuine case is covered in the assessment and no farmer is left out. |
