Jammu, Sept 2: Under the aegis of Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan (NMBA) and the National Action Plan for Drug Demand Reduction (NAPDDR), JKSPYM, State Level Coordinating Agency (SLCA) for Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, organized a one-day awareness program on “Drug Abuse Prevention” at PM Shri Govt. Middle School, Rangreez Mohallah, Kulgam in collaboration with NISD, Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Govt. of India. The program was specifically designed for parents, teachers, and school management, with the active participation of 41 attendees including parents, teachers, and school staff. During the program, three sessions were conducted focusing on understanding drugs and drug addiction, Identifying signs and symptoms of substance abuse, Treatment services available and the vital role of parents and teachers in prevention. The initiative aimed to strengthen the involvement of families and educators in protecting children and youth from substance abuse and creating a supportive environment for prevention.
